One bright light that shines out of the recent passage of the health care bill is the extention of the Adoption Tax credit. It was also increased by $1000 and allows for a refund of expenses.

I wanted to make you aware of this declaration that we as a church need to pay much attention to.
Here is a link to a short audio file from Focus on the Family about the manifesto which includes Chuck Colson and Robert George who are two of the three drafters of the document. The third drafter is Dr. Timothy George, Dean and Professor of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School at Samford University (Birmingham, Ala.).

Christians, when they have lived up to the highest ideals of their faith, have defended the weak and vulnerable and worked tirelessly to protect and strengthen vital institutions of civil society, beginning with the family.
We are Orthodox, Catholic, and evangelical Christians who have united at this hour to reaffirm fundamental truths about justice and the common good, and to call upon our fellow citizens, believers and non-believers alike, to join us in defending them. These truths are:
1. the sanctity of human life
2. the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
3. the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
Inasmuch as these truths are foundational to human dignity and the well-being of society, they are inviolable and non-negotiable. Because they are increasingly under assault from powerful forces in our culture, we are compelled today to speak out forcefully in their defense, and to commit ourselves to honoring them fully no matter what pressures are brought upon us and our institutions to abandon or compromise them. Show Hope
Hey friends,
All year long at Hunter Street we have been talking about our HOPE in difficult times. We have seen many testimonies of people sharing their Hope in Jesus Christ. What encouragement it has been to see lives that have been changed in Christ! However, currently as we know there are millions in our world who are also living in difficult times and without any hope at all. So, I've been thinking......If we claim to have Hope in Jesus Christ.....Isn't it time we show it? Let's act now to show hope to those in need.
This video was one of the tools God used to show me it was time to live out what I believe!

Their baby boy is here! I got a text from Brandy and she said he is beautiful and healthy, but she did not give me any details of weight, etc. I asked her to send pictures when she has them, but she said the hospital does not have WiFi so she only has her iPhone at the moment.
