A Snowflake Comes to Life
Marlene Strege shares the story of her daughter, Hannah, who was adopted as a frozen embryo.
This program is about Embryonic adoption.
I am at a loss of what to think about this whole subject...

The Manhattan Declaration
Wednesday, November 25, 2009
I wanted to make you aware of this declaration that we as a church need to pay much attention to.
Here is a link to a short audio file from Focus on the Family about the manifesto which includes Chuck Colson and Robert George who are two of the three drafters of the document. The third drafter is Dr. Timothy George, Dean and Professor of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School at Samford University (Birmingham, Ala.).
It explains what it is all about. Please, listen to it, the information below will make much more sense.

The Manhattan Declaration
Christians, when they have lived up to the highest ideals of their faith, have defended the weak and vulnerable and worked tirelessly to protect and strengthen vital institutions of civil society, beginning with the family.
We are Orthodox, Catholic, and evangelical Christians who have united at this hour to reaffirm fundamental truths about justice and the common good, and to call upon our fellow citizens, believers and non-believers alike, to join us in defending them. These truths are:
1. the sanctity of human life
2. the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
3. the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
Inasmuch as these truths are foundational to human dignity and the well-being of society, they are inviolable and non-negotiable. Because they are increasingly under assault from powerful forces in our culture, we are compelled today to speak out forcefully in their defense, and to commit ourselves to honoring them fully no matter what pressures are brought upon us and our institutions to abandon or compromise them. We make this commitment not as partisans of any political group but as followers of Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Listed below are a few of the 150 original signers. There are a few names that jumped out as I scanned it. Many have preached at our church.
Download it and read it, it will be worth the time! Pray about what it means to how committed you are to your faith.
