Bring a Foreign Culture Right to Your Doorstep!

This is an entry from another blog I follow. It looks like a very interesting opportunity.

Bring a Foreign Culture Right to Your Doorstep!
~Become a Host Family~

Welcome a student into your home to learn more about another culture and form friendships that last a lifetime! By simply sharing your home, you will be giving an exceptional international student the opportunity of a lifetime: the opportunity to live with your family and experience the language, customs and culture of our country. In return, your exchange student will share with you the rich culture, customs, and ideas from his or her homeland.

FIEAinvites you to become a host family for a high-school international exchange student (ages 15-18). Students come to the U.S. for a cultural exchange program for one academic year (10 months). FIEA provides students with health and accidental insurance; students will have their own spending money during their stay.

Become a Host Family to a student and make their dream come true!

Time is running out for us to place these students. If you have room in your home for a student for the school year (August 2009- May 2010) please open your home and heart to share experience with a student. I have profiles of the students, both male and female, that are still looking for host placement families. You can live anywhere in the US to qualify for a student. They just need a bed of their own, but can share a room with a sibling of the same gender and some closet or drawer space for their things!

Please Contact me at ginnie@cfl.rr.com for more information on hosting or call me at 407-908-5330.

Thank you,
